How Theory of Change guides the editorial decisions of a series about sustainable food.

From intended change to story

The white paper presents the third season, “CO₂mment tu manges ?”, in terms of knowledge, self-efficacy and social norms around food. These factors guide creative decisions aimed at young adults with little involvement in environmental issues.

Discovering alongside creators

Pairing scientists with content creators makes knowledge accessible through a process of discovery. Everyday situations make food choices tangible. Familiarity with the creator and scientific expertise play different roles in how audiences receive the story.

Distribution

The YouTube format and the creators’ communities are central to the approach presented. Reach tells us how widely the videos circulate. Their effects on audiences are assessed separately.

What remains to be measured

The white paper describes the experimental protocol for the third season as planned. This case illustrates how the method informs creative work; it does not report behavioural results from that season.
