United hearts

Human

A series of podcasts about the experiences of people affected by cancer and their caregivers.

Singer-songwriter Fanny Leeb welcomes various celebrities into her living room and invites them to speak into her microphone, accompanied by someone of their choice from their circle of friends, for an intimate, sincere, and cathartic conversation.

These discussions highlight the essential role played by family caregivers and contribute to greater recognition, understanding, and appreciation of their often invisible role.

To kick off this series, Fanny Leeb welcomes another Fanny and her friend Virgilia. Virgilia used to present the weather on BFMTV before disappearing from the airwaves for two reasons: she is pregnant and has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She talks about it on Instagram and her message reaches Fanny, who she doesn't know yet but who is going through exactly the same ordeal just a few months apart. These won't be their only things in common. A jubilant story of friendship begins, leading them to experience the disease differently.

Victorine was working as a GO at Club Med when she was diagnosed with uterine cancer. After many twists and turns, while in remission, she discovered she had breast cancer. Her partner left her a month before their wedding, she fell into drug addiction, rebuilt her life, and fell back several times before finding happiness—and success, as the author of two books about her experience now has over a million followers on social media. By her side, as always, is her mother, an unwavering pillar of strength in a very close-knit family. Together, they look back on a story marked by pain, but also humor and hope.

The story begins there but takes on a new dimension when Rose discovers she has breast cancer. Already struggling with addictions she is finding difficult to overcome, she faces this new challenge with strength and determination. Faithful to her post, Sophie the nurse, gentle and attentive, will be her mother, her sister, her caregiver, her confidante.
